Furnace Flue Too Low To Roof
This flue pipe is a carbon monoxide hazard
Flue pipes need to safely carry flue gases (including carbon monoxide) outside the building. This flue pipe is too short. The dark stains the side of the flue and on the siding behind the flue indicate a dangerous draft problem. The furnace was installed into a garage by the homeowner instead of a licensed contractor. This is only one of several serious safety problems with this furnace.
